Mac port time estimate?
For the first game I could not wait and simply played in Wine, and then I bought a second copy to show my support when the Mac version became available.

Re: Things I miss about Dungeon Master
Have to do a +1 for liking non-visible stats on items. Determine if a weapon is good by trial and error adds something, and it do make you go for the item you kind of like, not just comparing numbers. This is one of the hardcore options for LoG I believe. Daniel. It is. I went for the non-automap o...

Re: Analysis of Grimrock
After four full playthoroughs and fifth almost completed I agree with most things in your analysis but the one thing I really can't understand is an underrating of Missile Weapons and Throwing Weapons. These are very efficient weapons in terms of damage and survivability (dealing damage from distan...

Re: Things I miss about Dungeon Master
Never had an archmaster though :) I think level 4 master was as far as I got with anyone, not including the level bonus for holding the complete firestaff. As a teenager I had way to much time on my hands, actually trained a full party all the way up to Archmage in Ninja by throwing a dagger repeat...

Re: Lack of support for Mac OS X / Linux
Wine 1.5.8 runs LoG perfectly fine for me on Archlinux. Would this also be possible with the Steam version on a Mac? Otherwise, I'll be holding out for a native version... I can only speak for the GoG.com version on Linux. Just checked WineHQ and it looks like GoG.com version is rated gold while St...

Re: Things I miss about Dungeon Master
Dungeon Master's magic system. Legend of Grimrock has a good magic system, DM had a great system. Mostly I miss that there is no notion of the strength of a casted spell.

Re: Lack of support for Mac OS X / Linux
Or do a Kickstarter for the Mac and/or Linux port? I would easily pledge 250USD just for a just cause (I rather give my money to Almost Human who have proved their worth to me, that pay the same amount for to run Windows legally and optimally).

Re: Lack of support for Mac OS X / Linux
+1 I hold out for a Mac version, or news thereof, for almost a month after release. Then I succumbed to the greatness that is Legend of Grimrock and bought the Windows version, played it using Wine in a window. Would be interesting to know how many of the Windows copies of games sold are actually M...
