Re: Uninstalled It
About the original idea of the topic, my point of view is that the dislike of some players about the time based puzzles or semiarcade scenes is not related to the impossibility for acomplish them, the majority of that kind of puzzles in Grimrock can be solved in a couple or more tries with some obse...

Re: any chance of a random dungeon generator in the future?
I never liked at all the Dungeon Hack appoach to randomization. But I ever liked the Diablo System. On Dungeon Hack the Dungeons were just no sense huge maps. No sense empty rooms because of the direct creation of the maze and I had no interest or hope to find something different from a huge map wit...

Re: A question to Devs regarding consumers' behaviour and DR
I ´d like to have the rights to sell a lot of old classics with the proper old package, from infocom to the last examples on the 90. I´d like to know the sense on pirating a game yet pirated years ago considering that packaging... Industry should think about what is selling and how... :) Ok, Ok, tha...

Lua scripting is the most near appoach a good modder could have to modify a lot of things into the game. In fact it is a programming language to simplify a lot of things. I consid...

Re: A question to Devs regarding consumers' behaviour and DR
Nowadays we turn on our computer and we connect to internet without user management. Is Steam really a no DRM system? The world tendence is for laptop mobility, less desktop functional users. But does It mean more connected people to internet? That is the idea, just that, an idea. The rule should be...

Re: Dungeon Editor Progress
I currently create Dungeons for D&D with maptools for online use, it's quite user friendly in the way it lets you click on the tile you want and drag it where you want. Here's an example image. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_HZCn_dcigr0/TAPp3Lho3cI/AAAAAAAAAZM/_cNLqbnFZP0/s1600/MapTool01.bmp Maybe w...

Re: any chance of a random dungeon generator in the future?
I am more interested in variety of treasures and chests. Some randomization into that.
Random puzzles? not very interested
randomization of parts into the editor? I like it.

Re: any chance of a random dungeon generator in the future?
But puzzles is another story. Puzzles must be hand made, otherwise the puzzle should be just "a key fit a door" type of puzzle.

Re: any chance of a random dungeon generator in the future?
Extreme scriptation kills replayability and extreme random dungeons kill the soul of a story and the quality of the maps.

Re: Technical Wishlist for editor
A simulated outdoor environment? Fake exteriors? No idea how it would work with the actual lightning and FOV. It worked on old games because of the lack of real lightning, and an exterior was the same as an interior but with wider block spaces and and of course a sky.
But Who knows
Maybe.
