It shows your group running into the light at the end. My guess is a hole in the foundation appeared as it was all coming down and they ran out. Or else the massive light was a portal leading them to their next adventure. I choose a happy ending. :D

*SPOILERS* Just finished the game. Entering the Prison level was awesome. The new wall tiles. The guys with the black robes wandering around. The metal guys with the chains. Awesome ending. My crew is finally free with a full pardon. The red eye at the end makes me hope they'll be a sequel/expansion...
