Re: [OPEN] Community FrankenDungeon! - Submit your mini-dung
I apologize for being rare as of late. Huge thanks to all those who submitted a dungeon thus far!!! I'm thrilled to see this project has generated sizable interest and seen an investment of time and effort from so many! A preview release is coming out in the next few days as an xmas gift back to the...

I'm sure you have more tricks up your sleeve too.

Re: EDITOR Feature Requests (not bugs!)
I'd love to be able to implement any number of custom animations for an object. And be able to call animations to trigger from a script, and possibly jump to a specific frame in an animation. I figured out how to write my own simple animation files, but I intended to apply them to objects. The Asset...

Oh, of course, great idea! I'll put it on my to-do list!Phitt wrote:Great tool, thanks! Unfortunately it doesn't count custom monsters (cloned/defined). Any chance you could implement that by reading the monsters.lua?

It's probably best to just stretch a large alcove over each surface of the cube barrier model at a deeper depth than the alcoves sensitive to placing the items in them. Use this backdrop alcove's onInsertItem hook to tie this to a simple item destroy/respawn-on-mouse-pointer script which is called f...

Re: How can I change background music on the fly?
I would like a better solution for this as well. I have a dungeon currently where I selected a blank ogg file as the background music and play my own via playSound with a wav file. It's short enough I can get away with it, but as Phitt pointed out this a bad solution. I've also noticed that the volu...

Re: Community FrankenDungeon 2012: Discussion thread
I really wanted to contribute, but somewhere within the endless discussion I lost track of what has to be done and how... Well, I hope it'll be an amazing dungeon and I'm really looking forward to this! Sorry you got lost in the wrong thread! The Community FrankenDungeon submission thread is here: ...

Re: anything other than a wall to prevent player throwing st
You're making something like the cube activation puzzle? Keys/locks could work, but I'd try alcoves first because with those you can see the object appear in the machine. They probably run off the exact same sensitive-clickable-volume method anyway. But doesn't this puzzle involve placing objects in...

I'll bite. This looks like a job for alcoves! ...sort of. As I tried to solve this problem I realized there are a TON of corner-cases that are hard to plug up with alcoves. I got half way to a clean solution, but it's really difficult to make it work in every situation. By the way, the following onl...

Re: General Dungeon Editor glitches and problems
Some bugs I've found: The party's onTurn hook is bypassable by dragging right click to look to an adjacent tile. This breaks any logic relying on the onTurn hook. The innermost pixel of the dividers on either side of the Map View change the mouse cursor to a drag icon, but it is not sensitive to dra...
