Re: Diablo 3
Guess the comments saying it'd be easy only refer to the BEGINNING of ACT 1 in NORMAL mode (beta content)... there will be challenge later on. Especially Nightmare mode seems to be brutal! And there's hardcore (=permadeath) of course.

Re: Want to play older dungeon crawlers.Where to start?
Thank you for the info! I wasnt aware of what classified something as Roguelike or not, very helpful to know. If you want more detailed info on that, you can take a look at the Berlin Interpretation . While it should not be taken as "the definite answer", it's perhaps the most helpful doc...

Re: Want to play older dungeon crawlers.Where to start?
So Dungeons of Dredmore was my very first Roguelike dungeon crawl, and LoG has been amazing so far. First of all one has got to differentiate. While both those games you mentioned are dungeon crawlers with spatial (grid based) movement, that's also where the similarities end. The most defining (and...

Re: Things the devs didn't think through
So basically it's a balancing issue you're talking about, right? Could e.g. be solved by giving the characters more exp in general or making the traits available on lower levels. I haven't played enough of the game yet, so I'm not able to tell if you're right. But if you were, it'd shurely be a vali...

Re: Average Age ...
Mid doesn't mean exactly 95. Think 97, so I was 9 (still pretty early I guess)!GeneralGonzo wrote:Oops, so you played PC games with about 6 years ? Respect !Nachtfischer wrote:Me too. Played all the old dungeon crawlers retrospectively in the mid to late nineties though.Jack Dandy wrote:23 here.

I really wouldn't mind this week. Don't we all have enough to do with playing?

On the other hand I'd love to read something.

Well, I'm always in for a roguelike. I hope though, LoG will already get some randomness in the future. (You should try Dungeon Hack btw!)Scorcher24 wrote:... and feel like making a new game. Take the engine and make a real rogue-like![]()

Isn't it just different instead of weird? It actually feels quite intuitive that way (every attack/use is done by right clicking)... to me at least.
