In Dungeon Master there were also puzzles based on fast reactions. Its classic in this genre.

In the real world Spears can be used to jab or thrust, NOT just thrown. I think the game designers missed this.

Spear is not a thrown weapon in LoG.

I don't play Crysis, but Quake is hell fast, maybe the fastest FPS i know. It makes this game really hard. Maybe its the toughest FPS (depends if you play multiplayer) with old Counter Strike.

Most of new games are not so hard as old school ones. But there are some - EVE Online for example. Many newcomers are leaving this game every day with crying

I can't really imagine the other way the compass should work then it is in LoG ... I played many games of any kinds also.

EDIT: can anybody post a picture from some game, where compass is not pointing north?

I really can't imagine this in 3rd person ... please don't.
