I think it is just an asset that got moved across like almost everything else from logrock 1. Snails, for instance, are also in the editor but they remain unseen in the campaign(afaik).

So I had a wierd idea today, I chugged my ram with 400 meg of images and ran grimrock. Lo and behold the stuttery movement became more pronounced, this leads me to the possibility that the movement issues I came across this patch has to do with that memory usage increase. Something I noticed was that the fps is stable and high. But stepping is having an effect, and it seems to be less of an fps thing and more of a stuttery movement thing (like the gamespeed is varying, which is wierd). You can see this by trying it in-game with a stopwatch, or better, by typing this in the console: Oh wow I wish I would've known that command when I was doing my testing. Are there commands that show the actual damage calculation for the special abilities? Like Devastate, Harvest Time, Cleave, etc?...

The game has become completely unplayable in outside areas. In spots with some view distance moving takes a second per tile. Was working before. Any way to use older patches with the Steam version? I also noticed a drop in performance while outdoors, i got an improvement by putting all the settings...

Spoilerblocked the post, thanks for reminding me. So I loaded up the save again, and even compared it to doing it with lever pulling, it seems that it is breaking, but from what you say it is only on my end. I guess it is time to get steam to verify my files... I shall report back next month when it...

That doesn't render the puzzle unsolvable. I've solved it doing exactly that. Without having opened the door in the first place?
