Re: Why I will not be finishing Grimrock
While I think your post is far too harsh and your rating far too low, I agree with you on the combat. It's far too movement-based, and had they gone with a system more akin to Eye of the Beholder or Lands of Lore instead of Stonekeep, the game would easily be a 9/10. In fact despite owning it since...

Re: Early Game Access
Dear Legend of Grimrock creators, I understand modders suggesting beta access to your game, but please, please do not consider putting Legend of Grimrock II on Steam's early access. I signed up for an account today just to say this one thing: please, do not go to that hideous pit of hatred that is ...

Re: First time I seen[possible spoiler] I nearly sh@t my pan
Gotta be the first earthquake. I had just dispatched (as in two seconds before) the first group of four skeletal legionnaires when it hit. All I could think was, "OH GOD I PISSED OFF THE DUNGEON OVERLORD NOOOOO!".

Re: Brilliant game... but. A letter to AH and complainers.
OP, you pretty much lost all credibility when you pretty much told Jag (someone with a disability) that 'this game isn't for him'. I suppose you tell folk in wheelchairs that stores without ramps, 'aren't for them' too, eh? Nothing wrong with people asking for an OPTION to slow things down a bit so ...

Re: Congratulations, and the one thing I'd love to see next!
Dungeon Hack did randomly generate simple puzzles. In fact, it even had an option for multi-level puzzles. They were fairly simple, but they were there nonetheless. Besides, sometimes you don't want to wrack your brain trying to figure out complex stuff, you just want to murder monsters and find loo...

Re: Missile/ Throwing/ Dagger Weapons based on?
It makes sense with throwing weapons, but not with bows. You ever use an actual hunting bow in real life? They are not easy to pull. In actual real life the stronger you are the harder/faster your arrows shoot. You missed the part where I acknowledged draw weight, and pointed out that while yes, st...

Re: Missile/ Throwing/ Dagger Weapons based on?
Yeah, ranged damage is all based on strength. It makes sense with throwing weapons, but not with bows. Not very well thought out, TBH. Yes, strength can affect how far back you can draw, but you can only draw most bows so far back anyway. Plus it affects crossbow damage, which makes absolutely no se...

Re: Magic is too cumbersome...
I like the system, but I do agree with the poster who suggested that left-click should select the runes, and right click anywhere on the entry field should cast the spell. That way you could even get rid of the 'cast' button on the right, and make the entry field a little bit bigger overall. I can't...

Re: Game's been out for a bit, anything you would like to se
Just the usual stuff. More weapon types and accompanying skills (polearms, for example, have no associated skill, and no real presence in the game). More traits More spells A way to save your characters/party at creation and after game completion for future dungeons/playthroughs. More tilesets and '...
