For spells that use two different elements, do both elements increase the spell's damage, or just one? In particular, does air magic increase the power of meteor shower? And does air magic increase the power of frost bolt?
I'm trying to decide what to do with the last few skills points on my spell-casting characters. My battle mage has fire=5, air=3, concentration=3, armour=4. My alchemist has water=5, air=1, concentration=3, alchemy=5. Generally, the battle mage's main spell is meteor shower and the alchemist casts frost bolt. I figure that if air magic is going to increase the power of those spells, then I should probably put the last couple of points into air; but if air magic has no effect, then maybe I'll give the alchemist 1 point in earth (for ice spikes), and then just focus on more hp or mana.

Re: Spell power and skill points
Someone else will have to give you an exact answer.
From what I understand, if the spell is primarily fire such as fireball then only fire magic increases the power.
It would be nice if the other disciplines increased power as well though.
Poison bolt could be useful then, as even though it does not require water or air it goes through them. Increase of 20% per skill point in each of these plus an item. Could be interesting at 285% increase!

Alright. Thanks for the info.
I guess my casters are pretty much maxed out then. Maybe I'll just give them Accuracy, so that they are able to hit stuff in bear form...
It would be nice if there were other powerful spells, so that there is still something to aim for after getting the pre-reqs for meteor storm. (I don't mean more powerful; I just mean other high-end spells with different prerequisites.)

Re: Spell power and skill points
I pass the game for the third time but never could find the scroll arrows of frostbolt.
I looked for information on multiple websites and saw that no one could find this scroll. I know that the use of magic is not necessary to have a scroll but I like to collect all the scrolls and kept in inventory.
I have version 2.2.4 in Steam. Will this scroll is added to the game in the next update if it is of course be released?

It's a simple oversight. The scroll exists but wasn't placed on the Isle of Nex.Nathaniel wrote:I pass the game for the third time but never could find the scroll arrows of frostbolt.

Same happend with one part of an armor set but that was noticed and fixed before release.
Re: Spell power and skill points
I thought the point was for players to find it by examining the manual and the runes for the other bolt spells? I mean, the balance spell isn't on a scroll either. The scroll item is defined because those are generated automatically.

That's pretty unlikely for just one spell.minmay wrote:I thought the point was for players to find it by examining the manual and the runes for the other bolt spells?
It's true that the balance spell does not come along in the form of a scroll. Yet it can still be found and seen on the Isle of Nex.minmay wrote:I mean, the balance spell isn't on a scroll either. The scroll item is defined because those are generated automatically.
