CANT FIRE THE CANNON

i have the large cannon and cannon balls , all my ream have maxed firepower as required but everytime i try to use it i am told character cannot use the weapon , how do i fire it ?

You need a champion with Firearms 4.
Put the cannon in one hand, and the cannonballs in the other.
Right-click on the cannon, and it should fire.
