Re: Legend of Grimrock 2 crash
Well the Steam version runs perfectly fine on Win10 so it's not the game that gives you trouble.
Check the event log for crash info.
Update your drivers.
Re-run the common redistributables that come with the game.
Run the game from a different user account.
Try running it with Admin privileges.

So does it launch and then simply close?

Does the crash bring up an error window, containing something like this?Ryoria wrote:Yes. It just show me a logo than crash
Check that your documents folder has a folder called "Almost Human". Check that this folder contains a folder named "Legend of Grimrock 2". Check in here are at least two more subfolders and 2 files: grimrock.cfg and grimrock.log.The following error occured while starting up the game:
D3DError - CreateTexture failed: E_INVALIDARG
If "grimrock.cfg" does exist:
Open it with Notepad and change the line with the parameter "renderingQuality" into "renderingQuality = 1"
Save the file.
Start the game.
Does it run now or still crash?

Re: Legend of Grimrock 2 crash
You did not answer my question: do you get a popup window with an error message?
On top of that: post the content of your "grimrock.log" file here.

Re: Legend of Grimrock 2 crash
Open nVidia Control Panel and click "Manage 3D Settings".
Click the tab "Program Settings".
Check if a profile for LoG2 exists. If there is none create a new profile.
Under "Set the prefered graphics processor" select your nVidia card.

In GeForce Experience-game option , LOG2 can't be scanned for optimizing. the Nvidia gpu is preferred gpu,and i set the Log2 use the Nvidia gpu in Nvidia control panel, still crash
