Questions on Abilities/Techniques of classes

Hello

Great Game.

I am wondering about techniques or abilities.. how are these selected/activated?? am I missing something here..

I leveled my rogue to lvl 10 in daggers which gives "Stab".. how do you use stab? is it just automatically done?

Cant seem to find an answer anywhere

Special attacks activate randomly.

Pretty sure the higher skill you have, the more often they activate as well.
