The Magic Gunner Hard IM-SUC Run

I bought LoG2 for my Steam account (played with shared one) and after some experiments with console decided to make the Magic Gunner solo run.

How hard it would be complete HARD - Iron Man - Single-Use Crystal with this build?

Let me phrase it this way: if you manage to get this massively overpowered character killed you're doing something wrong.

I found out that a single injury can screw me very fast. But I'm level 8 only and only recently got arquebus to test it. Firepower is extraordinary though.

EDIT: That firepower is just crazy under speed potions. Probably should decrease pellet amount at the start to 200-300. Melee is abysmal though.

Doesn't that mean petrification is an instant kill?

Yes, petrification is an instant kill. As well as paralysis and double hand injury (in most cases).

It always is playing a solo character. Medusas always close in before doing their "thing" so melee is really dangerous.

Yet THIS is a ranged character so it's not really a concern, along with other "disablities" suffered during combat. Just stay out of range, avoid hits and you're perfectly fine. Even in case they happen injuries are fixed easily by small health potions and in case the 19 small pots provided in game do not suffice all it takes to make more is Alchemy 1.

Funny thing is that lone bosses are not a problem as well as magic users (because you can easily get those resistances) and mooks in most cases. Only armored mobs en masse can kill you in tight places since you are unprotected and your damage is not scaled. Magic damage won't help a lot as well (energy is depleted very fast) though I just throw bombs and it's still managable at 8 lvl. After all you can create TONS of potions.

Yeah, that what I was doing. But crits for 90-120 is not impressive and some enemies just too armored to kill without crits. Energy potions sustain me more than health one.

Nah, not impressive, it's just beyond anything a regular level 8 character can do with an Arquebus .. *facepalm*
