I've found some obstacles underwater that seem to need to be removed with mining, but in "Final Adventure", underwater "mining" doesn't work (and my character has a constitution of 5, which seems to be related), even though it did in "The Guardians". I've tried throwing bombs at these obstacles or rocks or hitting them with aquatic weapons, but nothing works. Is there something about the mechanics that I'm missing? I don't want to look it up online because I'll accidentally spoil everything for myself.
UPDATE 1:
Discovered. Nice mod so far.
UPDATE 2:
DISGRACEFULLY, I'm playing on Hard mode. I've collected all the power gems and two essences (48 hours playtime), and that's where the adventure ends. The battles are now unplayable. Some crappy archer kills a champion with 350 health, over 100 armor, and over 60 evasion with two or three arrows (in Urhold Keep). The “DEATHSPEAKERS” monster (Necropolis) is invincible, no matter what technique I use, not even tanking, dancing (everything is filled with summoned skulls in a very short time), turning into a bear with a speed potion, several strength potions, agility and using healing crystals when necessary. I don't feel like working on this anymore (every battle to obtain that essence was an endless series of “load games"). My best light weapons are the sickle sword and the bone blade, and the best heavy weapons are the ice hammer or maul. Complete plate armor set, and almost complete valor armor set. It's a shame. I loved the levels and the secrets, but it's all ruined by the mechanics (everything is absurdly complex and time-consuming) and combats, and I like a challenge, but this is too ridiculous
UPDATE 3 (November 15, 2025):
Finished Final Adventure and killed the final boss (wizard). The battles in “Urhold Keep” seemed impossible, but by discovering more secrets and making the group stronger, it's totally doable with a little concentration, didn't use any unusual techniques, just dancing, attacking, dodging, tanking a little (140 protection, 100 evasion in the front line), and killing skulls with electric bombs.
The level of "Gordonat Dungeon" was also quite notorious in terms of traps and combats.
As for the final battle with the wizard, it's downright insulting. It's incredibly difficult, but I managed to get through it by locking myself in the smallest room at the back in a 1 vs. 1 battle, surrounded by his own minions. My group was completely immune to electricity, and with strength potions, potion bear, potion speed and resurrection crystals when needed, I managed to defeat him. Otherwise, I have no idea how I would have gotten through it (with the weapons and techniques I had). Both the clones and the elementals reproduced at a rate of two for every one I killed.
I stand by what I said before: this mod is a brutal work of art in terms of levels, imagination, and secrets, but the mechanics of extreme hunger, the low cooldown for sleep or fatigue, and the extreme difficulty in some areas, in my opinion, detract from it and scare many players away.
The cooking system could be more user-friendly. For example, you could only need to use one ingredient at a time, such as when you want to make meat (raw meat + spice) and then sausage (cooked meat + saltweed). This is easy to remember and versatile. Perhaps to prevent anyone from figuring out how to do everything by testing ingredients, it would be necessary to create recipes that can be learned if you have a sufficient level of alchemy (like spells). Having to use three or four ingredients to create something is annoying and makes it harder to manage your resources. I thought it was great that low alchemy levels is related to cooking. It was something I myself thought it should be when I played The Guardians. The whole time I wanted to make an insect cake, but I couldn't figure out how. I refuse to believe that insects can only be cooked with wormroot once and that's it.
The fact that the picaxe and magic picaxe depend on the “constitution” skill is also bothersome, especially in certain character combinations.
I haven't used the online guide even once, not even for a puzzle or a secret, everything is so well done that if you stop to think about it, you end up realizing it, many secrets seem much harder to discover than in other mods, and I can't figure out why, but I like it
I still have many secrets to discover, I only found 264/350 secrets and 11/15 treasures and many epic items. Now I will proceed to search for what remains.
I think there might be a bug: I found pieces of the armor of valor, enchanted them, and finally had four enchanted pieces, but I hadn't found the pants of valor. When I found them and put on the complete armor, I didn't get the bonus for complete armor, probably because the other pieces were enchanted.
As for the technical aspects, everything worked perfectly and quickly. I detected a minor bug (it can go through a wall) in “Burning Sands.” I will post a screenshot later.
My favorite spells? Reading the last thoughts of the dead and walking on water.
Best regards!
