I can't be the only person here who had characters in DM who were into the <symbol> MASTER rank for all four classes.
Rumor has it there is a snail room on level 6, so food's not a problem in the longish run. So... How high level is it practical to get? Do mobs stop giving XP at some point?
Levelling up gratuitously...
Re: Levelling up gratuitously...
I haven't encountered any endless spawns except for the final boss. In my normal playthrough I was able to kill pretty much everything without much respawn. Other people have stated there are indeed sections of endless spawn so I don't know.
I made a end game stats thread, and the highest level anybody reportedly reached was level 14s, so I think for practicality around level 14.

yeah I remember the snails respawning in that room at the end of the corridor 2 or 3 times. I didn't wait around to see if it was infinite or not though...
Re: Levelling up gratuitously...
There's a few infinite spawns but they're all very slow. Also the snails and skeletons(2 of the more common ones) give very little xp. The only good one xp wise would be lizards at lvl 7 or 8 I forgot, first time you see them, but they spawn like once every couple of minutes so it's not really practical. You can only farm at the very end of the game, but it's still very slow. Not really practical.
