I was two thirds of the way through level 5, and had three rotating save games per level. However, after a computer BSOD, my save games are gone. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Are they gone from the folder (\Documents\Almost Human\Legend of Grimrock) as well as ingame?

If the files are not actually visible in the folder above. You can try file recovery, using variety of software available (Recuva springs to mind), since you did not actually delete the files, provided you have not done anything that would risk something overwriting the actual data on disk you should be able to recover something. Of course if said BSOD happened while the game was accessing the save files, then your chances might not be as good.

Failing that, if you are running newer windows, and have the "previous versions" feature turned on it might be possible to dig an older version of your save through that.

I suppose I reacted hastily, in that a System Restore resolved the issue. However, the BSOD had somehow completely cleared my Documents folder. Thanks for the replies.

Did it clear your desktop too? I've had BSODs where on the next boot, it's not loaded my user profile, it's just given me the default one. A restart brings the proper one back.

Yes, it seemed to reset everything. Sadly, I'm suddenly having more BSODs, though most are not messing with the profile.

I had the same problem also in Floor 5 also about 2/3 through. Only I had no bsod.

I simply did the following:

1) turned off the game and shut down my PC.

2) restarted it 6 hours later.

3) No save files found.

I tried system restore like the guy above but that didn't work. I had well over 30 saves. Now I have none. Help.
