Question regarding Unarmed Combat

If I chose to take the Fist Fighter perk would carrying a torch negate the bonus received due to the fact that a torch can be used as a weapon?

Just tested, lowers your Attack Power in the hand the torch is in. However, you don't dual wield (dual fist?), so it has no actual issue on combat.

You only need one free hand to do unarmed attacks. If the character is at the front you will probably want to use a shield in your other hand instead of a torch. If your character is at the back, using Assassination to do bare-handed backstabs, you get bonus points for incidental hilarity!

Thanks for the replies. I did some quick testing but I wasn't sure seeing as I only tested in the first level. Just wanted to be completely sure before I go on with it and end up not being too effective. Thanks again.
