I totally agree with haunterV.

grimrock has given the power to recreate our favourite oldschool dungeons. but we should think of it WITH grimrock engine. it's very cool to say "let's make beholder's remake, forests, new environments" but is it really interesting? it's like having dungeon master in hd with grimrock's textures... it's cool but not ultimate as grimrock is.

I haven't finish the game for now, but the first thing we have to do is to have a good number of monsters, in my opinion. from that, it could be possible to imagine new dungeons easily (the goblin dungeon, the ogre dungeon, etc... etc...) and make new exciting adventures for everyone.

the possibilities of a grimrock editor are big. we don't need (for now ) lockpiking or thief skills. we can manage with the actual engine and the mods should be fun.

there is no fun to adapt our legacy dungeons letter by letter, we should go forward, as grimrock team did for grimrock, catch the essence, but not making a simple copy of the original one.

I would be very happy to play beholder or dungeon master with grimrock engine, but I would be more proud / happy if we could write good new dungeons, with our masters only in mind...

EoB would be my fav game to remake... I tried it in various game editors over the last 20 odd years and the most success I had was (funnily enough) with the Unreal Editor. Yes that meant it wasn't even tile based no more but I could import the actual textures and at least it "looked" convincing :)

That's exactly what I was thinking about.
That would be more then sufficient (at least for me).
