However, one thing is that bothers me in the story:
When the squire and companions get attacked by the creatures, it's suddenly all kinds of monsters. Snails, flying things, spiders, mushrooms...
It feels quite strange that all kinds of monsters attack them at the same time. Unless the monsters are very intelligent and capable of speaking to each other and coordinate their attack... or are driven by some force that controls them to attack at the same time.

This right here! You've already shown yourselves to be an awesome group by keeping in touch with the community. I'd much rather have you spending your time and effort on polishing up any loose ends in the game before release, as opposed to proof reading the manual. That's what crowd-sourcing is for, right?

Thanks to the feedback from you guys we now have made corrections and improvements to the flow of the text. The fixed manual will be shipped with the game on April 11th.
As a native English person and speaker it looks like you have used American English rather than British English - ie colored rather than coloured on page 10. Not sure if that was your intention? But hey I am sure both us Brits and our American brothers all understand each other
Pre-ordered the game and enjoyed reading the manual, even with the errors. I'm pleased to hear they've been corrected, though -- it's always a little irritating when a developer who'd never send out a game with placeholder 'programmer art' in place is happy to do the equivalent when it comes to the text. The manual is, after all, the first thing many people who pre-order or buy the game see.
