Can't Get to End of Goromorg Temple 1

This is just before the life crystal puzzle at the end of Goromorg Temple 1. According to videos I've seen, doors should open up on both sides of this room when you pick up the Book of Infinite Wisdom here. As you can see from the screenshot, I didn't get any doors to open. Not sure if this is a bug or if I missed something, but I seriously need some help.

Thanks for the help, I had gotten one of those things off the shelf in a previous save then died and forgot to get it again, whoops.
