no ranged weapons yet (level 4)

Im half way trhough level 4 (and totally stuck) tbh i think my team will eventually all die from starvation as no food seems to drop here and i just run around over and over again.
Aside from that I'm enjoying the game but wondering why i have yet to find any ranged weapons. My lv7 insectoid lizard rogue with 22 points in missile weapons is really hanging out and I'm wondering if I've made a big blunder choosing a rogue, meanwhile he just uses a spear in the back rank. are wepaon drops random or maybe Ive missed some goodies on the upper levels, or if i ever pass lv4 they are waiting?

You can get a bow at the beginning of level 3. It is around that area where you encounter skeleton bowman and some wyverns (?).

There is a bow in level 3, where you meet the skeleton archer sho shoots frost arrows at you. That room also has 2 pits in it Behind the pillar to the side is button, press button to go into hiding place, then throw rock at pressure plate to close the pits, then walk across and boom, theres your bow

You get a sling at level 2 counted as a missile weapon, crossbow and bow at 3.

For the first few levels my rogue was doing nothing but throwing rocks and insults at enemies, I ended up using a spear for a few levels to get some action his way.

You'll find a crossbow when you're doing the slime dungeon on level 3. (Actually, the entrance to the slime dungeon is on level 3. The dungeon itself is on level 4. A secret stairway leads to it from level 3).

The sling is a bit ridiculous. Very easy not to spot - i managed 3 run throughs completely oblivious. The bows are pretty obvious however...
