Is it possible to update the first post of the level editor sticky topic with the current status? I am trying to look through 30 pages of responses just to find the latest status.
Will mods be available on the Steam version? How will the mods work? Will it be a fairly easy process for us non tech savvy players to use player mods or will there be quite a few steps to get them to work? Will there be one site that will have all the mods so you can rate them, provide feedback, easily view all the different mods, etc...?
Sorry for all the questions!
Mod questions...
Re: Mod questions...
Do you mean the Dungeon Editor Progress thread? The first post is being constantly updated.
As to the other questions, not sure.

Yes.Brilling wrote:Will mods be available on the Steam version?
With a dungeon editor GUI and LUA script for modding, the mods must be a simple file.Brilling wrote:How will the mods work?
The dungeon editor easy yes, the lua script you should know lua a little I think (for modding). For installing mods, normally put the file mods in the same directory that .exe or mods directory I think.Brilling wrote:Will it be a fairly easy process for us non tech savvy players to use player mods or will there be quite a few steps to get them to work?
It depends on the people and the community.Brilling wrote:Will there be one site that will have all the mods so you can rate them, provide feedback, easily view all the different mods, etc...?

Re: Mod questions...
I don't think all the mods will be hosted on the same site, as different people will work on different mods. However, there will probably be threads here on the forum that will link to all the available mods.
As for playing the mod, when you play a new game, do you see that slider that says Grimrock, and cannot be changed to something else? Well, if I understand Petri's task list correctly, then when someone makes a custom dungeon/mod, this will be packed into a single file.
So to play these mods, you most likely need to save them in your My Documents\Almost Human\Legend of Grimrock folder, or perhaps a subfolder of that, then start a new game, and change Grimlock to the custom dungeon. I'm not 100% sure on this, but it feels likely.
