Hello,
I have a few hours to spend on this game before going back to work, I'm stuck in the beginning of the 4th level, the mushrooms are too strong for me.
So could someone send me a trainer to improve my skills ?
I didn't find anything free on the net
Thanks
Alain
looking for a trainer
Re: looking for a trainer
I can't remember the encounter in question, but why not try to side-step away from their attacks and use healing potions (god knows there are enough ingredients around). You could also find a door and close it between monsters to heal up?
Or lower your difficulty if you find the game too hard?
Cheating is like... meh.

Hi.
I wonder: You play on hard? And I guess you mean the very first long room with the pressure plate closing the door behind you and spawning the two mushroom-dudes which vomit poison clouds like crazy, right? On my first play-through I had some hard time with this room as well ... And somehow I survived in the end.
Then using the full scope of movement is really the thing to do. And don't get cornered. This is something that may happen too easily ...
Also: Use ranged weapons for as long as possible; and if your mage (you have at least one?) is able to cast this frost-spell with range, use it ...
If you have bombs, throw them; you will find new ones ...
If some of your party-members (not all) die during battle ... No worries. After the battle you will be able to open the door back to level 3 again (if it does not open automatically); the details how this works I have not on my mind at the moment. But as soon as the door is open, get back into lvl 3 and use the blue crystal which will resurrect your dead party-members again. So nothing lost here - except for a handful of experience points maybe.
As for cheating ... I don't know if there is a trainer. But here and there you may find some information about a console and the opportunity to edit the game in your favor, if you are up to it ... Sorry; I did not check this special topic. But with the "search"-function on this forum you should find information about that as well.
But actually I agree with Jinxed ... Cheating is like ... "meh" ...
All the best!
Liam

Re: looking for a trainer
Hi there,
anytime.
Is it really the room I have described?
Btw.: This is how I dealt with the situation the first time:
There are two mushroom-dudes. The first one I really killed with almost using only one character attack - takes longer, but you won't stay too long next to the thing, if you move away fast. The effect of this "tactic" is that on the one side you get less often affected by the poison cloud of the biest and on the other side you get less likely cornered because you move a lot more around. So it's like move hit move hit move hit move away move next to it move hit move hit etc ...
The second mushroom is no problem anymore as soon as you have dealt with the first one ...
All the best!

Oh yeah that encounter. Was a little evil, but not a huge problem. Side-step. Use the whole room. Never get cornered and don't let both monsters near you at the same time. Only be in range of them for melee attacks (when you've spent your turn just move 2-3 blocks away.
Always keep your range dps active.
Btw, if you think that encounter is evil, just wait and see what there is in store for you
