Alter of Vi - Ressurection in log?
For DM fans....remember the Alter of Vi? The alcove in DM that allowed you to ressurect your characters if they die? Well, is there something similar in LoG? I don't like idea of having one of my characters die and being forced to move on without them.
Any way to resurrect them?

Yes. At the end of floor 1, there is a floating blue crystal, with a note nearby explaining that it will cure all ailments, fully heal HP and Energy of everyone, and revive your teammates. But after you use it, it has a cooldown before it can be used again. I think it's like 5 mins? There should be atleast 1 on every floor, (except the last 2 floors) and sometimes even 2 of them on a floor.isamu wrote:For DM fans....remember the Alter of Vi? Yeah I know bout the blue crystal, but would you believe I went through the whole game and even now half way through my second playthrough WITHOUT realizing it can revive the dead characters? Was playing it all this time thinking that once one of them dies, they're out for good, ala Fire Emblem

Re: Alter of Vi - Ressurection in log?
Lol, I wouldn't believe that, since first time playing you most likely read all the notes laying around, and the note right next to the first crystal tells you it heals everything xD Also Toorum in one of his notes talks about it too. Around floor 8 or 9 I think. The floor with the dangerous big open room that has like 4-6 tunnel ogres to fight.isamu wrote:Yeah I know bout the blue crystal, but would you believe I went through the whole game and even now half way through my second playthrough WITHOUT realizing it can revive the dead characters? It has been reported couple of times that people have missed the note explaining the crystals.
Maybe it's in a dead angle and easy to overlook.
I walked past it, but later returned to find it as I explored all the blind corners.

It's also quite possible to forget that small detail about reviving teammates.
All in all I'm kind of surprised you never visited one of the blue crystals after someone in your party dying.
I don't think any of the levels had 2 crystals. Level 13 certainly had a crystal, though levels 11 and 12 could have been without them.

Yeah, I went in under the assumption that AH took a page out of DM and was actually looking for an Alter of Vi, thinking they'd put one in Grimrock LOL. The thought of the crystal doing it went right over my head
For what it's worth, I *DID* find Toorum's note explaining it upon my second playthrough.
