Amnesia(the game)
Amnesia(the game)
How is it? Anyone played it? Would it be what you would call a "Dungeon Crawler". Heard it's scary as hell but that's all I've heard.

Hi.
I actually thought about getting it. The trailer looks really interesting.

But then I decided: I am too young to die ...
No, seriously. I played similar games. And it indeed is interesting to play games like this. But the dark and evil atmosphere wears of pretty soon - that is when you have started to get used to it ... (My personal opinion.)
All the best!

At the end of my first time with "the Legend of Grimrock" - played on default-party, hard, old-school mode:

It's alright. I got a bit bored personally. Depends how susceptible you are to it. If you feel the tension, you'll like the scares. If you see polygons and textures, you'll run through. Check out the vids on youtube.

I'm only part way through it, but I rather enjoyed it so far. Definitely very suspenseful, if that is your cup of tea. My recommendation, turn off the tutorial popups like I did so you start out totally in the dark.

So I can be stuck for hours wondering what to do and where to go? No thanksBees wrote:I'm only part way through it, but I rather enjoyed it so far. Re: Amnesia(the game)
Shrug. I'm going to hazard a guess that you somehow managed to survive Grimrock without a popup tip saying "Don't stand in one place like a sucker if you're under attack."

Lovely and atmospheric, but for the best experience a good video card and plugged into a home cinema system would do it. But I can't really play it too well.
Re: Amnesia(the game)
It's pretty intense if you let yourself get immersed in it. The puzzles aren't very complicated though. I still need to finish it... too many games
