Hi,

i started (once again) a vanilla Wizardry 8 session after trying out Wizardry 7 for the first time in the last years (completed it in the mid 90s). Couldn't resist (yes, i am weak...) the multiclassing option in Wiz7, which made it way too easy, so i switched to Wiz8, in which multiclassing is not as powerful. Now i just have to resist the urge to pickpocket every living being in Dominus ;)

No probs, games weren't as user friendly back then as today's games!

The first rune you click is the power level (1 to 6) the ones after are the spell runes, so start with power level Lo (far left)

Here's a few of the basic spells,

magic torch (rune = ful), health potion (rune = vi), stamina potion (rune = ya) and fireball (runes = ful ir).
Here's which rune is which,

ah okay! yeah i remember playing old amiga games that were not player friendly one bit -_- :P because of this my dad actually made games for us to play. they weren't half bad either.

i think brataccas was my favorite amiga game. the instruction manual was hilarious. as you read the story and characters it would say (see hints on page 12) every once in a while and when you got to that page it was empty haha. such a tease :P

I've been doing next weeks work, in order to be able to play LoG on its release day, and not have to worry about actually doing something for the next 4 or so days...
It is interesting how efficient you can get when you have a nice carrot on a stick dangling right in front of you.

I can't get time off, but I will have a ton of downtime due to training in San Antonio in June. Since I will be all alone in my hotel room I am going to play LoG and Titan Quest. I wonder how far I can get with all this down time?
Gotta dungeon crawl before you can dungeon walk...
