Whoa someone already posted about this. I was hoping to be the first one! Either way, yes, it seems like it's been in development forever. I hope it's awesome.
Oh, LOL, they still have a quote from my review on the front page! Kickass! =)
So I just ploughed trough the beta with a mercenary, a pureblooded combat character (my first one at that). It was easier than I expected. I needed only a couple of reloads (many of which weren't even needed, just wanted to see where the story goes). It's a buggy little game, but I liked it.
But what I wanted to say was that, I've been reading their forums, and the attitude of one of their developers is just terrible. This Vince guy. Seriously. It's like he has a stick or two up his ass. For no reason. Makes me want to NOT support their game. The guy is very unprofessional.

They should take some notes from AH team.
I tried playing through it myself but when my mercenary would miss on a 75% chance to hit on 3/4 attacks I decided it wasn't worth the effort.
Yeah, the game is hellishly difficult when it comes to combat. Best way to win is to avoid most fights altogether.
The trick with combat characters is to steadily gather skill points at first and increase block or dodge (block is better in most cases) just to survive.
Once you get good armor and block skill to +50 you will become an unstoppable killing machine.
