I'm hoping this isn't true and the reviewer simply bumped into more swords then your average person. I suppose asking strait up would be appropriate: Are there significantly more swords then other types of weapons? I define significant as the lesser of 25% more then any one type of other weapon (100 axes and 125 swords, etc) if you would like to know what significant is IMO.GameBanshee wrote:I found only one necklace that was actually useful, for example, and there weren't nearly as many high-level axes and maces as there were swords.

Re: Swords Vs. Axes Vs. Maces
I'm pretty sure the reviewer didn't find all the goodies =) I've found several weapons I didn't know existed after I started playing again from the beginning.

Re: Swords Vs. Axes Vs. Maces
I'm sure he didn't find them all, but assuming the Axes and Maces aren't more "well hidden" I would guess he found a representative cross section of weapons. Of course, if the sample set is small then that theory is out the window, that's why I was hoping for a ratio or a number or design decision type of thing.

Proper answer to this question would require spoilers. Sorry. =)

Re: Swords Vs. Axes Vs. Maces
The best stuff is well hidden, so it is easy to get into wrong conclusions here. We have tried to design the items so that there are some very good items in each item class.
