GrimWiki Content

Post by JohnWordsworth »

Hi all, I just wanted to check whether anyone has any problems if we copy content that has been confirmed as 'working' and useful from this forum onto the GrimWiki.

I'm mostly thinking of the Script Repository and the Spell Listing, but content such that would be great in the searchable and indexed wiki. I just didn't want to turn anyone's nose up by just going ahead and putting the content in there without asking first.

GrimWiki now has a team of admins and we're just need to sort a few final things before getting anyone that's interested on there!

I think if you post a script/idea on the forums, it's free game unless you specifically state "I'm just letting you look at this, you can't use it."

I was pondering how the content would be adopted into the wiki--by aggregation out of these forum threads by wiki editors, or individual submissions by the original authors. There're so many juicy mod tidbits already, so I hope they can be moved into the wiki quickly and painlessly. I'm in full support of adopting said tidbits, at least to get the ball rolling, without individual participation.

Cool, I'm glad that there is initial support for moving some content to the wiki. In my mind, it makes sense to have all discussion here in the forum, but when something has 'been discussed and accepted', it would be good for it to live in the wiki where it can be more accessible.

Once there are a few items in the Wiki, it will also be much easier to add new content - as there will be examples of how to lay things out and use the Wiki templates properly!
