Ok so I love me my JRPGs and RPGs in general, I want to add Battle music that starts when a monster engages the player in battle in hostile action and then fades out or plays a fanfare when the monster is defeated.
So, I know there is a {On monster death} or {monster headcount} script thing that I can use to kill the music, technical speak I know. However I am unaware if there is a {monster state hostile} or {monster in battle} thing that can be used in the same way, is there a way to trigger music to start playing when it sees a player?
If not then I know there is some convoluted methods revolving around counting the monsters/players in a room/area of the dungeon that I can use to play a chime or whatever as a clue that the coast is clear. I'd just rather avoid that method because players tend to do things like leave the battle area. I know there is a solution for that particular problem as well but it just is even more involved than I'd like.
Edited so it's not a jumbled unreadable mass.
Edit: I just made it worse, lol.
