@crisman: It's possible that the NVidia Optimus driver isn't kicking in and switching to dedicated graphics whe Grimrock starts. Laptops with recent Nvidia cards will switch between the low-powered on-chip graphics and full-power power-hungry gaming graphics for you automatically when you start a game. Sometimes however, it gets it wrong and doesn't kick in the good stuff when your game starts.

Grimrock might not be listed in Nvidias automatic list, and so it might be making a bad guess. You can force it to use dedicated graphics for certain software though (or all the time, but this isn't recommended beyond testing). http://netbooknetwork.net/2010/force-nv ... a-optimus/

what he said. you have to update the whitelist manually for some games. Me myself I just made sure my comp runs on the GPU always and forever, screw battery life i need my games to run smooth above all else.

Oh my, I wasn't aware at all about NVidia Optimus, I was sure it was something related about the graphic card thought, but couldn't figure how or why :S

(I'm reading the instructions. First step: click on start button --- with win 8, how can I??? roftl !!)
