Maybe this will help you a bit.
Here's the source to the ending cinematics I used for my MOD, the wine merchant's basement.
http://grimrock.nexusmods.com/download/366
1) unzip these files and put them in your /mod_assets/cinematics folder of your dungeon
2) in your dungeon make a hidden pressure plate pointing to lua script with the function below:
That should do the trick.
When you run this from the editor, you'll only see "Game completed.".
To see the cinematics themselves, export your dungeon and run it from grimrock the game (instead of the level editor).
