I'm trying to finish my dragon sword (texturing and uvmapping tomorrow, hopefully) but I just had an idea for it:
It will be a sword similar to the fireblade (it will have the terrible spell of my black dragon), except that I wish it would recharge his spell with time or killing a monster ...If anyone knows how to do ?
Please the gang coders
thank you in advance
I know I still have requests, but I code like a turnip ...
LordYig is right. If that swords model is really that detailed 1) your uvmapping must be very patient and 2) some computers (like mine) will spontaneously explode. Modders the world over will be found riddled with shards of glass and plastic mumbling incoherently of a "really really great sword". For shame...
Not sure about time, but I think there is a hook or normal function that takes both the dying/damaged monster and the attacker into account. onDie? Party onAttack? My coding's a bit rusty, so I don't remember better than that.
I'm sure one of the code wizards of the forums will be of more advice. ; D
I think that too - you may hold the polycount as low as possible, or at some point the game tends to crash due to mesh/texture overload.
This is sometimes the trickiest thing in building game models.
If evrybody has a geforce 6xxxx with 5 gig of ram it would no prob, but..

looks awesome... my only question is that since we dont see the wepons beyond hem laying on the ground. Don't you think you are going a little overboard for a grimrock asset? Looks amazing for a skyrim wepon though.
HELLO,
@haunterV,
you're probably right ... but once I was tired of making wall and I left to train this sword (well I'm reducing poly) ... the idea is to make a sword that is very powerful but dangerous to the user, like Salvator, the demonic sword of ardent Wolf (she nourished life / energy of the carrier until the carrier kills a / monsters) ...
@scorp29
I like the look of the sword, personally ...
