@Petri: I certainly wouldn't say it's a show-stopper, but it's a tad annoying. Apologies in advance - I try not to post code suggestions too often for fear of appearing foolish (I'm sure you're much more experienced than I) - but could you possibly fix all party-movement audio to a single audio channel (so all party movement always plays through channel 1 and nothing else will play through that channel?). I know you 'lose' a channel that way, but then the party move so often - maybe dedicating a single audio channel to those effects isn't the end of the world?

Unfortunately OpenAL doesn't work that way -- channels are implementation details and not exposed in the API.

Ahh - that's a shame. I've not played with OpenAL so apologies. If it's fixed in a later version of OpenAL than the one that ships with OSX 10.7.X, could you possibly statically link in OpenAL instead of using the one bundled with the system? Apologies if these are all stupid ideas / things you've thought of! :p

No problem, thanks for the suggestions :)

I just tried a third party software OpenAL implemention (OpenAL Soft) and it seems to work. Need to test it some more to make sure it's robust.

On Mac Mini with i5 at 2.5Ghz 8Gb RAM ATI Radeon HD 6630M 256Mb.

Starts really fast, enter options and first option says "Nil" (Resolution?), click on save and game crashes.
Unable to open game again, only a litle flash to black and return to steam.

Unable to test gameplay :S

Hope this helps!
It could be that something has gone wrong with your configuration file. Could you try to rename or delete grimrock.cfg which should be in your "/Library/Application Support/Almost Human/Legend of Grimrock/" folder? This should re-create the configuration from scratch when the game is started again. Let us know how it goes! :)
Except for unusable options menu, all game is running perfect at high performance :)

I will continue playing to exit mountain... or find any bugs ;)

It seems that for some reason grimrock couldn't detect your display resolution correctly. Could you tell me what is your native desktop resolution, operating system version and mac model, please?

Edit: ah, i'm sorry, you listed your mac info in your previous post. OS X version and desktop display resolution would still be useful info to know.

well, don't want to come with bad news but the "unreachable Options" problem is a well known problem.

Well, I don't see any mention of resolution being Nil in the post you linked...

Edit: also, minimum supported resolutions for Grimrock are 1024x768 and 1280x720.

Mac beta 1.3.5 now on Steam!

- Replaced Apple's broken OpenAL library with third party OpenAL Soft library, this should fix problems with sound volume spiking suddenly
- Added Tablet Mode to game options for trackpad and single button mouse

don't want to argue with you but ...(Ok, I want ;))

"Prometheusmfd" problem is in fact the same problem: autodetection failed and brought him to a mode were he can't change resolution back as the option menu misrendered. Clear bug, with a simple fix, make the option screen scrollable (like the load/save menu) and/or resize the option menu resolution dependend too.

About the official supported resolutions: As Grimrock in windowed mode supported always lower resolutions, it is some kind of semi-offically supported. You know, once in the wild released... ;) (please don't remove it now, some setups rely on this capability, better fix it officially! Pleeeeeeasee! :))
