boxed version?

Post by wired »

I would appreciate to buy a boxed version of the game!

Now, after the successful release, are there plans to publish one?

Have to say that I like this game so much I'd probably buy the boxed version too just to have a cool cloth map, a manual and a box with something like this on the cover standing on my shelf.

I think most people buy games digitally these days, but most other games have shelf editions that also sell, so it might be worth it. But perhaps digital is just better for smaller indie devs. Though I'm not sure how small AH is anymore seeing how the game has probably sold like crazy and didn't cost a huge amount of money to make.

Just guessing a bit here.

Definitely +1 here. I'd love to buy it again. That would be a third time (gog and later directly from AH to get steam version). I don't mind. I have logged well over 100 hours of gameplay already with the experience and fun just getting better and better. That was one of the best spent money on gaming.

Although I never did buy any before, I'd gladly pay for a collector's edition. With something nice to put on my desk (something like warhammer 40k-style figure), on a pin board (a cloth map or a poster) or perhaps a patch you can sew to your backpack or a jacket (like a mission patch NASA and other agencies have). I would wear it proudly.

The Ogre action could be pretty cool :)

I sure would like one. If you can't get it distributed, I would still be game for buying a handmade one to be shipped.

Well, the best thing we can offer right now is a printable DVD cover if you're into some arts&crafts: http://grimrock.net/extras/Legend_of_Gr ... vd_box.jpg

Thanks, I downloaded it already.

My hope is to to change your mind and show you the request. Maybe you make an official survey to determine the overall market of a boxed version. ;)

This would be a great opportunity for a small kickstarter, if it wasn't illegal in Finland.
