It is pretty that's for sure.
I merely meant the polycount and detail was probably being a wasted effort as you would rarely see its full glory unless alcove presented properly.

Before you reduce the polycount (if you are indeed doing so), you can actually use the high poly version to help make your low poly version look more realistic. Professional game studios will often make super-high quality versions of the models first in order to create realistic normal maps for lower poly versions. Presumably, rendering a full poly version will also give you a great start for the diffuse and specular textures of your low poly version too. From the right angles - your low poly version can look quite a bit like your high poly version!
(Note. I don't know how you would do this - I just know this from reading around game development. I'm a programmer, not a modeller :p).
