Hi Almost Human. Grimrock was great! Dungeon Editor was great!
1) Are you going to make Legend of Grimrock 2? I havent seen any news on your web about your plans for future.
2) If not, can you tell us what next game do you plan to do?
3) Are you going to make new dungeons in Dungeon Editor and give them for free?
4) Do you plan to make some site with dungeons made in your editor by us with YOUR ranking how you like them?
Obviously, I have no relation to Almost Human (except than overusing their fine product), but I think the likely answers would be:
1. Likely, but it is up to AH to decide when to announce their plans.
2. See 1.
3. That is probable, but with dungeon editor and extensive modding capabilities, that would actually be not optimal use of AH's time. If I was in AH's position, I would spend my time on doing unique things that noone else can, like adding extra features to the engine. Adding new dugneons can be and is done by many modders.
4. I really hope not. This is being done already by the community. No need to waste AH's time on that.
Regarding 1, I think AH is now enjoying benefits of Grimrock success. They have financial stability and can work on their next project at their own pace. If they announce their plans too early, lots of people will keep asking about release dates and updates. The simple fact is that they probably have the luxury of not having any fixed deadline for their next project. Being a software engineer myself, I envy them a bit, but that is a feat they very well deserved.

Sounds like id software at their debut. "It's done when it's done" I hope they'll adopt this mantra instead of succumbing to the pressure and releasing something they won't be proud of. Without exaggeration, of course!
Well, the DLC thing did get mentioned/slipped, so we can expect that at some point, maybe for the anniversary of the main game last April (just a wild guess, actually I hope it's much sooner than that)

To be honest i expected to get similar answers to yours from Almost Human team. But there was some time since LoG release and there could be some ideas what to do next. But i agree it could be too early to say something. I was curious so i aksed.
3. and 4. I asked because i played dungeons from steam workshop even highly ranked and they were really bad. They were much worse than LoG. So i wonder if AH will make some good new dungeons in editor, but i can see your opinion - why would they do it for free, right? The idea with ranking system from AH isnt bad, cause these guys could responsibly say which dungeon is good and which is bad. Ranking system on steam is really bad cause it is made by voting from users so really bad dungeons get high ranks.
I guess they could contact the creators of the dungeons with the most potential to ask if they can borrow them for free to ameliorate them and include them in the DLC.It would be quite gratifying even if there would not be any income for the original creators. It would add content for those who never try "unofficial" stuff and it would provide a better experience for those who would play it otherwise since AH could improve it in their own ways.

Afair iD software did something similar with doom at one point.. and also hired some of the best modders =)
