Actually, I could maybe make use of him like that, without the surrounding wall or base, but with the old statue texture.

Hey thanks for that. I tried it in game next to Phitt's version, and his for some reason has a lot more detail. You can find it here:

I don't know what it is, but your version is like it has been smoothed out all over. His version has a much larger file size, related?

BTW, the standalone guy looks pretty cool textured in "altar" or "dragon_statue" :D

btw to continue with the same idea , possible to modelize the sword (or axe or lance ) as an item making the statue working ass an item holder who can open door if you place correctly the good item on his hands?

Yeah, i noticed phitts upload too late, so mine was not necessary anymore.
I have removed all double vertices at the model, so it may look a little bit different truly^^

I've created a new floor texture for my DM wallset.
This is the final pattern, i go with it! It is not exactly as the tile from DM, but very close.

Base is a photo, make it seamless in Ps, then i have build a mesh from it in blender for the normal map.
A basic normal map from that is applied, but the stones are all equal in height and angle yet.
I´m just on the way to change that, so it will look less flat as now.

A screenshot with the basic texture:

Well, i have made a lot of mistakes in the first run, there are some seamless tiling probs at the walls too..
This last longer then i expected^^
Bad plannig i guess^^

That looks fantastic!

Also, can you please release Buzzj's Desk with your improved texture? Or have you already and I am unaware of it? :o
