You need to put pressure on all pressure plates where there's a torch holder. Make sure the others aren't pressurized. (One starts out with a couple of rocks on it)

Do you think the clue here could be better? For me the puzzles are easy since I already know the solution. I find it difficult to judge how hard they are.

Hall of Haste

It's a little tricky. First, make sure you found the secret button within the northwest teleporter which opens the portcullis at the southeast one. Then stand in front of the southeast teleporter, facing west towards the southwest teleporter. Just as the southwest teleporter is active, but is about to deactivate, throw an item there and step backwards into the southeast teleporter. It will now take the maximum amount of time possible for the teleporters to move the item to the pressure plate which opens the door, giving you enough time to reach the door at the end of the Hall of Haste.

I might remove the portcullis and secret button since it may be overkill to have that thrown in there also. Did you find that button?

Domain of Gark. I've found five pits and levers. I assume the goal is to pull the levers. Now I'm stuck.

Is there a trick to it or is it based on speed only? If it's speed then I'm at the end of the line here. I've even changed the settings on my laptop to gain some, but I'm not fast enough.

Wow, that's a lot of levels you've cleared without getting stuck compared to the initial ones. You're almost done.

Domain of Gark

It's a maze you have to solve by pressing the secret buttons scattered around the areas. Pressing the buttons lets you into new areas. The goal is to reach Gark's room which is in the southwestern part of the maze. I realy need to remove the pits and the levers. They're only a red herring right now. Initially I had the player get stuck in some parts of the maze if he wasn't fast enough, and as punishment he'd have to drop down a pit to start over. I found that too punishing however, so I changed things so the player could still get out without having to drop down a pit and starting over. I just didn't get around to removing the pits. For some reason I didn't think of it. So ignore the levers and pits and focus on the buttons. Mapping which button does what may be an idea, if you have difficulty keeping track. Hope that helps. I'll make sure to remove the levers and pits so others don't get confused by them.

It's a matter of speed with a trick. The second door is open longer than the first one, so you need to press the second button first.

The way to solve the puzzle is like this:
1. Make your way to the button by the second rotating teleporter.
2. Time pressing the button there so that you can step back and be teleported to the first rotating teleporter.
3. Very quickly follow it around and press the button there.
4. Very quickly nagivate around it and into the second rotating teleporter, also navigating around it to the doors.

If you do this quick enough, you should be able to get past both doors.

I was certain the pits and levers had something to do with the puzzle since I dropped down, ran back up and went through a wall I never found a way to access otherwise.

I'm not fast enough. However, I got help with the running and got through that way.


The ivy on the walls when you go down to level 21 (after the riddle puzzle) looks odd.

It's important to mark things on the map, something I failed to do to from the start. Because of that I ran around in circles to begin with. I also know of a couple of secrets (iron doors) that I didn't get since I hadn't marked it on the map.

Ok, cool. What kind of party did you have?

I'm thinking of doing some more work on the dungeon before releasing it, too:
- Flesh out level 14, 16 and 21. Probably making 14 into more of a "real level" and using 21 as an intermission area between visiting the bosses on level 20.
- Adding additional community assets.

I've also put some different lighting in the later levels to hopefully give them a more different feel from the standard. As well as made some minor changes here and there based on your feedback as well as from watching a friend of mine play. And thanks for your time spent

In case anyone was wondering, I'm still working on this. I currently have a friend playing through it when I have the opportunity to watch him while he's playing. That provides me a ton of helpful feedback. I'm also working on converting some of the levels into Phitt's mine tileset... painful, but since the tileset kicks all kinds of ass, I think the result will speak for itself.
