[TEASER] - The Sunset Gate

Post by Xanathar »

After some days with cool and pretty results (at least I think so) I totally have this urge to spam the forum with some incomplete and useless teaser about my not even half completed mod  (more about some tech, actually, than of the mod itself).

First teaser video : http://youtu.be/zB5Ut4rza-U

Of course feedbacks and suggestions are welcome! Specially regarding the "dream" part - now it has a purple-noise effect, don't know if/how it could be improved (in game is better than in video as the compression kinda breaks it). As I said to JohnWordsworth, I'm sorry this is too similar (read: the same) to his idea for the One Room dungeon  . Independent invention, but still the credit goes to him who came first :ugeek:

This is terrific framework for an Inception mod =D

This looks very very cool Xanathar!
Question - are the dialogue boxes something the community has access to yet, or is this your own work in progress (not released?)?? I really like them, adds so much possibilities :D

Also, I have created a secret area in my mod whereby if you have a certain two spells active and then eat a certain food... you are whisked away to a dreamland type area
It seems I am obviously not the only one to have come up with such a plan! 8-)
I really do not want to feel like a copy cat, so I thought I would say something here
I will go check out JohnWordsworth's One Room Dungeon too....

But yes, it looks very groovy indeed :)

Not yet but sooner or later they will be (probably as part of grimwidgets). What surely will change is that a community reusable version will not have (sadly) the portraits, as there is no way to know which portraits a given champion has. I can do that in my mod since I'm playing ahem "dirty party tricks" :)

Re the dream thing - the entire concept is not something nobody thought about before :) that's the reason we are all inventing the same thing ;)
