Upping CPU speed

Post by Emolsifier »

I have a CPU that is just on the cusp of the requirements to run Grimrock. It runs at 2.7 Ghz which is just 0.1 off from the requirements! It's an AMD A6 Series and I was wondering if this could be remedied by a bit of software. Conversely would my computer be able to run this game without assistance? I've checked CanIrunit and this was the only failed criterion.

I think you should be fine as far as your CPU is concerned. We didn't benchmark the CPU-side of things very much when figuring out the system requirements so we played it a little on the safe side with that requirement.

We used a little more care with the graphics card requirements since the limits are more "hard" there.

Cool, I will attempt to run the game and I'll post an A-Ok if it runs without issue. Thanks for the speedy reply!

I fought my way through the game with just an overclocked Intel Atom Dualcore(1,7 GHZ) and an NVIDIA ION GPU. So iam very sure that you can run the game and fight your way through Mount Grimrock just fine.
