Thanks. I swear I searched the whole room for buttons about a million times. Dark tilesets and low graphic settings are a bad combination.
Anyway, was able to finish it. It really is impressive, if a bit too difficult for my meager skills. If someone ever makes "LoG Wimp Quest", I am so there!
Out of curiosity, what are the different ranks you can get? I ended up with "Journeyman", which I'm assuming is the lowest one...
Ive been stuck at the pillared hallway. Tried all the combinations I can think of, but (as with others here) always end up back at the easterly entrance to the hallway.
One thing Im sure everyone noticed is the arrow firing sound. Have you any clues to get through for me ? I start as previously suggested, at the south easterly corner but with no luck.

Beside the hallway in MQ being one square wider then the original there is no difference.

Did you find the scroll with the directions on it?

"Two times left she slithers", etc.
The directions can be a little tricky to interpret.

The hallway is three squares wide, so you have a left lane, a middle lane, and a right lane. You want to do all your forward movement in the left and right lanes, and only use the middle lane for sideways movement from one lane to the other. Note that in the instructions, switching lanes does NOT count as a step. So for instance, where the scroll says "Three times right and twice more left", that means walk forward 3 steps in the right lane, then move sideways all the way over to the left and walk forward 2 steps in the left lane.
This is a fantastic mod -- enjoying it even more than the original. I'm on level 9 -- have stepped through the portal and find myself in a narrow space with the teleporter behind me, to the left and right a small alcove with demon heads that release poison gas, and directly ahead two floor panels that open and close, with a door beyond them, and another teleporter to the left. I have tried everything to get across these floor panels, but I keep falling into the pit below. What am I missing?

You missed what you are standing on. If you did play the original this room should be extremly familiar to you. It is and works exactly the same in MQ and you can solve it with any LoG playthru out there - that is until you discover what Komag added.

I'm at the end of level 6 staring at the three gold locks. In the secrets section I see two gold keys listed: one on level 3, one on level 13. In the original the ogre at the start dropped a key. In MQ the ogre doesn't. Is there a gold key someplace else on this level that I'm missing?
