I started my playthrough with Toorum which I believe has some awesome perspectives (speed is awesome, food management never a problem, ONE guy to concetrate on instead of party, could be very strong). There was one thing I really disliked about it though. He is a preset character. Well, his stats are high, no problem with that of course. Obviously, custom normal numbers would be fine with me as well (probably balancing things if needed). I'm troubled with the skills available to the character. I mean, he is preset for Armors, Sword/Axe, Fire/Earth, Spellcraft. I agree that it seems pretty well balanced mix of melee tough guy with ranged devastation through magic but in-game you will actually go either melee or mage, (with choice usually being melee guy). What I would really like would be to be able to choose the skills available to you. Maybe make less available, like 3 or 4 skill trees, at least 1 from each build chosen (1 fighter, 1 mage, 1 rogue, 1 whatever you want). Or create some archetypes, which is not my favourite but its an idea. Something like Mage toorum (2 magic types + Spellcraft maybe) Rogue Toorum (Dodge, Weapon of Choice, Assassination (maybe altered lvl 12?) ) Fighter Toorum (Armors, Weapon Choice, Athletics). I can see 2 problems here though. First, Assassination with Toorum's Thunderstruck would probably be way overpowered (backstabbing made easy, too fast attack speed if you get +25% or +50%). Furthermore, it seems strange to play with a guy who was a story person and being able to customize his skills...
What do you guys think?

Re: Toorum Customization?
It may be fun to have self-made ranger(s) but that is all we can hope for. In LoG all classes and their skills are hardcoded; they can't be modified without major and prolly game-breaking rework of the game code. Since i don't see this happening we'll have to wait for LoG 2 and see if it will have such customizations.
Re: Toorum Customization?
Well, changing the skill trees was one idea but, still, I believe that merging trees from different sources into toorum char could be done relatively easy in terms of coding...
Edit: For example, I would fancy replacing Axes or Swords from the skill list with daggers (cause daggers are awesome) and probably be a full valor dagger holding freak or something

You must first unlock Toorum-mode by finding the remains of Toorum and bringing them to a healing crystal. Then you start a new game, create own characters and name the character to Toorum.
Re: Toorum Customization?
really you just need a text file which you can create:
C:\Users\Owner\Documents\Almost Human\Legend of Grimrock
toorum_lives.txt
Toorum was here.

So.. I guess what I'm asking is kinda impossible to do, right?
Re: Toorum Customization?
Hey, thanks.
I am currently playing LoG Master Quest. I will try the Toorum thing when I finish it.

You can add traits via the console, but not skill trees
