I've noticed that the player can fire/throw weapons across an altar/table/etc without hinderance. However, ranged enemies won't shoot back. Assuming this is a problem with the monster "brain" interpreting the altar as a blockage.
Does anyone know a workaround for this. I'd love to use altar-type objects as "low" obstacles that block progress but can be fired past....however if the mobs don't shoot back it isn't very fair...
mobs won't shoot past altars
Re: mobs won't shoot past altars
This is actually quite interesting.
I wonder if there is an actual reason for the mobs not shooting over it, or is it just that they interpret it as a blockage even though projectiles can pass through it?
Also, I noticed thrown items land on altars, but not in alcoves, which makes sense since the altar takes the floor space for itself.

This also interests me.
Anyone knows how to script the altars so that they let the mobs shoot through?
I would like to put an uggardian in my dungeon in the middle of some altars and the player then would use spawers to send ice bolts to kill it.
Any help appreciated.
