Thanks again, Pandafox. I had tried having a spider step on a pressure plate, but nothing happened because a spider had already stepped on it. Once I noticed that it had an effect, the rest was easy enough.

Northwest of the crystal is an ornamental door with the sign come from the ghosts to go in
SpoilerShow
You have to reach a certain point down on Level 7 before this opens. At least you have to go down the stairs beyond the Sold Key grate, and then come back up through the passage just south of this door.
SpoilerShow
South of the crystal there is some stairs going down where I need a solid key
SpoilerShow
You need it to get down to Level 7. I can't remember exactly where I found it, but the most likely culprit is Level 6, past the door that needed the Gold Key right next to the grate that needs the Solid key. Once you've found 6 green gems and put them in the eyes on the northern wall, the square right south of the save crystal opens up where a key is lying on the floor.
SpoilerShow
Off in the southeast there is a door that looks like it needs an emerald or some other green key.
SpoilerShow
No clue on this, though Pandafox has commented that there's nothing "important" behind this door.

There are 3 Skull Keys needed for Level 7, and that only one of them can be found on Level 7, so you should be good to proceed once you've unlocked the way.

hey whats up)

I'm down level 12 or so, and must say it feels like 'too much' after you retrieve the key in the area with huge lizards... my whining is below:
SpoilerShow
the main reason is my belongings were taken away, though it was interesting for the whole level 8. But after level 10 I faced a small room with 3 trolls, a 'skullwalls' area full of ghosts, tons of mummies and insects... with just a longsword for my sword-master, 6 throwing projectiles for my 'thrower', my mage cannot replenish mana quickly as I don't have potion mixing utensils, and finally my axe-master does not have an axe! he has to fight with a simple mace dealing ~20 damage at best on critical hits. This feels so stupid - I pumped a ton of skillpoints into axes just to find out they are useless after level 8...

atm I'm struggling in the chamber with 'golden' walls with a lot of uggardians and their water/ice relatives (back to level 10, after opening the gates with two yellow-stoned keyholes). Can't heal and replenish mana quickly, but cannot wait b/c I'm almost out of food. Really feels like I'd better got all my things back ASAP, as I'm even not sure can I withstand this massacre.
Or at least give me a hint, maybe I missed something: after the 'naked' teleport at the beginning of level 8, where can I find an axe, a mortar and a pestle? Just these 3 little things would have made my life so much easier
other than that, the dungeon is great and addictive! Really enjoyed, until got frustrated in the end...

Seems you missed something. It's been a while since i played this mod but once you complete that forced-going-naked-part you get your stuff back and IIRC that was before going to the giant lizard area.

sounds good, but I checked level 8 a few times - the area with my belongings is not accessible... but there are 'iron gates' that I still cannot open...

I recovered my stuff back on Level 8. The stairs down to Level 9 are RIGHT NEXT to the area where you left your gear, so if that wall didn't open then you missed a trigger somewhere.

As for the fight on Level 10,
SpoilerShow
you can click the crystal through the wall that comes up to close it off. Makes the whole level much easier to deal with.

I think I inspected all the walls more than once... if anyone can give me pricise position of the trigger I'll be grateful!

thank you very much, this indeed might be helpful :)

btw, I looked through the thread and saw guys were talking about a 'Power Staff' that is required to pass the dungeon, and it is somewhere in a secret chamber of level 9... have you found it?

Power Staff:
SpoilerShow
It's on Level 10, actually. The fight there involves going through loads of looping passages and pulling levers until it comes to a door opened by the Power Gem. That opens up to a HUGE space that contains a couple of rooms, one of those has the Power Staff.

(BTW, take the power gem and the 3 coloured gems with you.)

...finally I've got an opportunity to finish off the game

The cause of the problem with my equipment was my greed) On level 8, I've taken back red diamonds out of the demon head, that's why the wall to the section with stuff was closed ))

Now I've got back all my weapons, armors and food, and ready to break through Level 10 Uggs and other elemental guardians, especially that now I can use the crystal despite the walls are closed (that's actually a cheat, so maybe I won't use it)

Still waiting for the hint how to open the Iron gates on level 8!

I have no idea how to get that door open. It involves doing things differentely, but beyond that I'm clueless.
