How much could you pay for this cad model? both or one of them.

Umm, we don't pay each other around here. We just do it to help, and I'm pretty sure everyone wants to keep it that way. This is a special community in those regards, but thanks!

I'm thinking msyblade is correct. This is a very friendly helpful community. I know I could not afford to pay a tenth of the value of the help I have been given. While there is nothing wrong with desiring recompense for one's labor, sometimes it is more satisfying to do it out of a sense of sharing with the community.

I have been tinkering with the laser gun just to see if I could do it. I didn't post here because I didn't want to commit to something I have no idea if I could accomplish. But so far,

Damn Ryeath, that is SO good for only having started tinkering with modeling! I am damn right impressed, man. Kudos!

I feel like, we have always given, and received more than our fair share of assistance/help. I could not do what I do without you guys, and I am happy to pay it forward in whatever limited ways I can. None of us can do EVERYTHING. (Okay, maybe Komag or Diarmuid), but we cover each others weaknesses, and release far superior products for it.

I recently purchased a very technical game I won't name, and tried to join the forums. Immediately had lockdowns and limits on posting powers. Didn't understand why. Then, reading through some posts, I notice a trend of the actual dev's closing threads regularly over subjects that they didn't want discussed, or were considered imflammatory. Problem is, The community is eating itself alive with that condescending "trolling" attitude. It's like a forum of youtube comments (U know what i'm talking about).

Anyway, long story longer, I posted one thread: "Why not have time compression in multiplayer?" The thread became a flame war within minutes, it was closed by the admins before the day ended. What it did, was make me further appreciate you guys, and the gratitude and respect we have always shown each other (at least in the modding forum.) That gratitude has become like a community thing, everyone feels it (right?!) and this is the only place I've ever been that when someone needs help, there is a line of people offering assistance. Always and repeatedly. You don't ask for anything back, except a line of guys waiting to help you when you need it. Well, your terms are acceptable :) We will be here, and I personally feel a little vindicated everytime i am able to help someone. Like paying into the bank (and I took out some hefty loans back in the day!) Anyway, wouldn't trade you guys for the world. Thanks for everything!

Thanks msyblade.

Somehow I messed something up because a few of the faces were not showing up on the UV edit screen. I am just using the leather brigadine texture and most of that picture is where stuff showed up in the unwrap process. I started positioning the stock and handle to get the best use and when I got to the trigger area the faces where all messed up and the more I tried to fix it the worse they got, so I eventually had to just clear all my marks and start over. So I am now marking my seams again, but I have some scheduling issues and will be unlikely to have any time to work on it over the next week.

But yeah, it is quite fun to do.

I'm not going to make any promises, but I too have been learning 3D modelling (but with MODO). I've dabbled before, but I intend to learn a lot more in the creation of my sci-fi mod. Here is a first-draft mesh for a rocket launcher that I've been working on. If/when I finish it and then texture it, you are more than welcome to use it in your mod as well (preferably with a slightly different skin, so that it looks different to how it will look in my mod).

Edit: Updated with a shoulder mounted version and barrel mounted firing controls. Much happier with this draft now! Now to UV unwrap - fun, fun, fun!

I don't know, but they are certainly expensive.
That's the point to make one from scratch :D
