Working on a dungeon, should I continue?

Post by Sorez »

I'm currently working on a dungeon, The Tomb of Sorez. I've spent the last 2 days finding some mods, like flooded dungeon, exterior assets, etc which will go into this dungeon. I've finished the first and second floor, even tough they are small, took me some work to make the first floor. My question is, should I continue making the dungeon, as I do need some other people's opinion since this is going to be a lot of work for me.

I already have a story kind of sorted out :P

These pictures, for me atleast, are cut out from the side on this site, so if they are for you, open them in a new tab.

I'm not sure we can answer whether you should continue. You need to do it for yourself. If you make a complete dungeon, many people will play it, so if that's what you mean, then yes, continue :)

Alrighty, thanks! Hope the almighty Komag would play it if it's ever finished haha :D

What a strange question! As Komag said, you are the only person that can answer that. If you enjoy it, then you should carry on creating :). The community always likes to play new dungeons, and I'm sure they will enjoy yours when it is complete - but you will only be able to finish the last 20% of your mod (the bit that's really hard work) if you enjoy the first 80%.

Just to be clear, if you are enjoying the process - you should definitely crack on. We all love exploring new dungeons!

Keep up your work Sorez.

I work on my own Sci-Fi Dungeon since two months or so. I did it for myself (and a little bit for other people who maybe could like it ;) )
A couple of times I was asking myself, if someone would play my mod when it´s finished because Grimrock 2 surely has been 100% released at this time.
But on the other side I´ve a lot of fun to let my own ideas become truth and I learning thereby for future projects too.

So let me say it again Sorez: Keep up your work!
