Following Komag's comments in the Let's Play of the ORRR2, I thought a little on how to fix that damn stairs and pillars thing once and for all. Here is the result:
Two temple stairs models which can seamlessly replace the normal temple stairs, and which avoid any problems of missing and/or clipping pillars when you place open spaces in the corners behind the stairs. So:
- No missing pillars you need to add manually
- No stairs pillars stucking out of your walls
- No temple pillars stucking out in your staircase
How does it work? The back pillars are split in half, the interior half positioned right with the staircase, the exterior half positioned right with the floor level:

Look at the install.txt, you just need to put two models in mod_assets/models and copy the cloneObject code which redefines transparently your stairs and fixes it all, even for existing mods - you just need to reopen the dungeon editor and it will work!
