Wonderful vid!

Sorry for the steam sound, it should have stopped. But I worked a lot on the scripting for that gears/warden puzzle and it was very hard debugging it and getting it right. Maybe it was fixed in a subsequent patch after the one you're playing...

As for the clicks in the levers, it's simple: it clicks when you stumble on a valid combination.

You still have a bunch of relatively major secrets left in the room. Tips:

1. Congrats on finding the eye, but apart throwing spells and looking evil, it might have an usage somewhere...
2. The H.O.G. has another use you could have found before putting it in the mahcine, but now you need to break the smith to get it back. But what is it? When in doubt, bring Douglas Adams in.
3. You plainly didn't pick-up a trunk lying on the floor with tons of stuff, including some leading to a secret, even if you passed next to it twice.

Unfortunately one of them is lost with the cleansing of the ghost threat; can't get anymore ectoplasm. :(
But that's not an official secret. I've seen no posts from anyone who has found it.
Nor did anyone seem to notice that drinking them adds 100 mana for a short time. Komag drank a few; but didn't notice... he fed them to the fighters.

*Minmay almost found very minor ~feature... When he rested in front of the statues, but he was facing the wrong way... Would have been cool though.
SpoilerShow
At certain haunt stages, those statues will attack from behind on occasion. Had he been facing away from them, his party would have gotten hit by an axe in the night.

*Also: The 'Beholder Crown' on a rogue with double evasion bonuses for equipped clothes, is a pretty sweet deal. My rogue in the ORRR2 has evasion 110.
If I could make one change, it would be to take out that secret button that opens the mage's ladder. It makes sense for it to be there, but everyone that goes that path finds it and uses it before they they encounter the main ghost; some bypass those encounters entirely, because killing the ghost in the tomb, disables all further encounters with it. It also disables the OTHER ghost; the Ogre. Everyone sees him once, but he's a combat unit that really packs a powerful hit... but all of the let's plays use that secret button to kill the [obviously underpowered] Foundry ghost [Godith] first thing, and so miss the later ghost encounters that actually change the hostility of the Foundry. I didn't realize it before but that button is almost room breaking. :(
___________
*Edit:
By the way... I can now watch the rest of this let's play; as I have finally completed the OOOR 2 mod myself ~just now. 8-)

Are you referring to
SpoilerShow
the 4th Goromorg ghost
are you? Or perhaps
SpoilerShow
the second use for the H. O. G. With this I know where it goes, but don't see any changes anywhere

Komag hasn't played that bit yet ~technically.
SpoilerShow
Changes? There are only two uses for that item, but I thought them pretty straight forward.

One thing many people didn't catch (but this was expected),
SpoilerShow
is that H.O.G. stands for Heart Of Gold; and looks like the starship "Heart of Gold"; and in the book, it was shrunk small enough to fit on a coat pocket.
(And of course was also the AutoSmith's golden heart; Technically the core that held the instructions for crafting/enchanting the items.)

But he has played past returning to this one:
The monster:
SpoilerShow
All four of them are the same one, but the one's outside the tomb don't happen if you kill it (usually in the tomb).
Neither of these are what I mentioned. :)

What I don't get about the H.O.G. is its secondary use. What does it do?

It's spelled out name pretty much gives it away; that is if you recall all other writings in the room.

Well then obviously it's just didn't. Placed at the right place you will notice what happens.
