Grimrock 2 IndieBox?

Post by JohnWordsworth »

I left a comment on your awesome blog post about the box art, but thought it might go unnoticed all tucked away there and thought it deserved bringing up in the forum as a suggestion (and a place for others to say if they think it would be cool too).

Anyway... I think an "IndieBox" version of Grimrock 2 with your box art on the cover would be amazing!

art title that came to my mind: "The Raven (and some dude)"
;)

Ah, 74 secrets to find!

EDIT, on topic now:
A boxed version .. hmm .. the thought has something. Yet i won't do it for the regular version.

The last boxed game i bought was "Privateer 2 - The Darkening Special Edition" which came with the Privateer 1 Gold CD-Rom Edition included. In case AH would decide to create a boxed version they might think about doing something similar.

The last time we checked, selling boxed games was almost the same as giving away the game for free. Maybe the situation has changed with this IndieBox.

Yeah, I figured a 'standard' retail boxed version would be a pain the backside too. However, this Indie Box thing is a one-off for just a month - there's no chain of suppliers/retailers so you're presumably only splitting revenue with IndieBox themselves (who do all the work of putting it together and printing).

To be honest, I've no idea what the revenue split is or whether it's worthwhile, but it just looked like a potentially easy and feasible way to get a small number of boxed copies out to the fans :).
